Help!

I am drunk, and I know that I need to stop drinking. I have a good life, but am now risking it because of the booze. I can't stop myself. Booze is there everyday, everywhere, on every corner. AA was an option, but it got in the way of my drinking. So how do I stop? 28 days will make me lose my job. HELP!!

If AA is in the way of your drinking, what are you willing to do to stop and to stay stopped?

Maybe see a doctor and have a proper detox and maybe rehab or find time for AA at this point?

One day at a time, just don't drink today. Just today. One day.

YOU have to makeup YOUR mind. Ask God for help or another human being.

Call the AA hotline right now.

PRAY> PRAY>PRAY.

You know this is what you NEED TO DO.

We're here all we can be for you.

You can do this if you really really really try.

thank you

Just today, just this hour, I won't pour a drink. I can do one hour. Small step, right?

yep

I did one minute at a time, then it got to half hour, then hour, then day and another....

You CAN do this, but it is strongly suggested to see a doctor for a proper detox.

You can do it Debbie. We did. You are just as strong as we are. You need only to really try hard.

Yes, just baby steps for now.

I am agnostic, and am unsure about a "GOD" figure. Pray does not help.

my sponsor was agnostic, too, but made a decision to stop insisting there was no god and worked the steps

there are other methods available, too

we need to want to not drink more strongly than we want to drink

are ya ready to stay stopped today?

Debbie, my only message to you is that you can turn this arround.

You will need a plan, support, and the will.

My prayers are with you,

Good Start would be to empty the cabinet Deb! Take it easy and think of the best times in your life , which ones involved alcohol and which didn't, then work on it from there! Stay Strong and Well! Bobby
