6 weeks today
I'm happy to report that today is 6 weeks of sobriety for me. Things are going well, and the "boredom" of the early weeks is fading as I am rediscovering old interests and changing routines.
Maybe I'll just mention a couple highlights of sobriety for me. Due to insomnia (also fading) I've developed a routine of becoming an early riser, so I'm really enjoying the alone, quiet times in the mornings before I head into the day's activities. I'm also grateful for the inward growth and serenity that is becoming more and more noticeable in the presence of my being.
P.S. I don't post as much these days because I'm more in a "listening" phase, but I'm still here every day reading the posts for support and encouragement.

Congratulations. 6 weeks is a fantastic achievement.
I'm just behind you on 5 weeks and 2 days, and feeling pleased with myself, and hoping that I can keep going.
The weekends are the hardest, but after going along to two AA group meetings this week and meeting some amazing people who have achieved many years of recovery and sobriety and were ready to listen to, and encourage me.
After being lucky enough to have their support, I'm feeling much less worried about the coming weekend. (Last weekend was the worst). Will try to go along to a meeting tomorrow as well though, just to get a top up of empathy!
