Hello

I am again new to recovery.

I really need some advice and help.

I quit severe alcohol abuse two years ago and I have had terrible PAWS symptoms such as no feeling, and severe cognitive issues, like memory problems and thinking issues.

Does anyone know if PAWS is permanent or does it go anytime?

Also have started CAMPRAL today; has anyone tried it? does it help with PAWS?

Thanks,

LUke

Welcome to SR, Luke!

We can't give medical advice on the forum. Have you consulted a doctor about your concerns?

Best of Luck on Your Sober Journey!

Hi Luke

All I know about PAWs is here :
PAWS | Digital Dharma

There are some good tips for mitigating it's effects too

Bottom line is, I'm not a doctor so I have no idea if it's PAWs or not.

If you've seen your Dr and got no answers for the no feeling, and severe cognitive issues, like memory problems and thinking issues after 2 years, I'd probably get a second professional opinion?

welcome aboard

D

PS PAWs not a permanent condition

Hi Luke,
This link Find Alcohol addiction services services - NHS Choices takes you to a page where you can search for alcohol or substance abuse help facilities both nhs and non-nhs. I hope this helps.
