Justadude

Tonight sometime after midnight I will have completed 168hrs of no alcohol intake. Tomorrow when I wake up I will have started day 8. It was great to wake up and not feel shame, guilt or anxiety and go to work. I did feel like garbage though but maybe it was allergies. They are miserable in this neck of the woods. At Venuscat said, At least it was not by my own doing.

Thank you all for your support. Thank you for encouragement and for sharing your struggles. It helps to know I am not alone and so many have experienced similar situations and we all fight similar demons.

Thank you Deeker and Venuscat for staying with me this week and encouraging me day by day. And one more thanks to Deeker for inviting me back and encouraging me when the previous week did not work out so well. I am learning how to fight here.

Today was pretty good. Work was busy and it was not until the end of the day did I realize that there were no whispers. Not a bad feeling. Challenges coming at the end of the week again. Will be alone as I often am. Starting the self talk now. Starting to make plans to keep busy.

Battle again tomorrow!
