Any tips on how to get rid of alcoholic bloat?

Uuurgh, Im on day 27 of being sober but my face and tummy are so bloated! After giving up cider (6 litres a day) I thought it would go down by now...any tips on how to shift it? Will it ever go?

I do exercise, and dont overeat!

It will take time, toddle. It took longer than 27 days to get that bloat, and it will take longer for your body to adjust to being alcohol free. But yeah, it's a good idea to see your doctor and get a check up just to be sure everything is okay.

Thanks guys, doctor has given me gabapentin, she thinks I injured myself when drinking and have sciatica ...got to have physio, thanks for asking bimini...

I should have asked her about the bloat but forgot, I just caught myself in a shop window and I looked huge! I should buy a juicer and mix up veg, wouldnt know what to put in it, hmm will have to research. Its just so annoying, cant run as too painful, but I do cycle x

Yes Auntiesoso...have been drinking plenty, I suppose I will have to be patient, is irritating though, I look healthier but big! Maybe I piled on more than I thought!

Yeah. Water. I find what helps me drink my 8 glasses of water (throughout the day) is taking a spoon full of peanut butter here and there. Just drink water with every meal. Also, green tea is good. Walking / jogging.

Thanks again, I do drink a lot but will up it some more, I do sleep well Jade, but I do wake in the night to use the loo (all the water lol). It just looks unhealthy, will have to get more active when my sciatica gets under control x

Are you on any supplements? Multivitamin? Fish oil? I highly recommend a supplement called Chlorella. I am sure you can find it at your local health food store. It rids to body of toxins and is great for you!
