Hello Everyone
Hello My name is Dan and I just joined this group. I live in Chula Vista, California, just a few miles from the Tijuana crossing. My husband (Larry) started going to AA meetings about a week ago. It was suggested to me that I join a Al-Anon group. I do not drive and found this as well as Modat through a web search. To be honest, I have no idea what to expect from this group or what's expected of me. I just find with him off to a meeting or two every day I'm alone, a lot. DanO

Welcome. It's great that your spouse is choosing recovery. It must be tough being alone, but try not to resent his getting sober. We have an active Friends and Family forum. Please check it out:

Welcome to SR Dano! I hope you check out the link above - it will give you a better idea of what al-anon is about.
I'm both a recovering addict and a recovering codependent and SR has helped me, tremendously, in both areas.
