Never felt having as little fuel on the tank left as right now

I better quit drinking before I totally run out of fuel and crash. I feel very good about having found this site. I think that this site holds the support that I needed, but I was not willing to go to AA meetings. I am lying in bed now with a bad psychological hangover (hopefully the last one). The positive thing is that even so, I am for the first time feeling a real hope to succeed about quitting drinking.

welcome, as far as making plans for sobriety, start with 'just don't drink today' and move on from there

Welcome to the family. I'm glad you decided to stop drinking. Quitting drinking is the best thing I've ever done for myself.

This. Or even just this hour (I have been using the hour count quite a bit this last week).

That sounds like a good start WhoHaveIBecome

Also check out our April support thread - you'll find a ton of support there, whenever you need it, and a few good ideas too
