Tea bag sayings

It's Sunday morning and I'm drinking tea, and spending some time catching up with my friends on SR. Good morning!

I really like the little quotes on my tea bags, and inside my fortune cookies. Many times, they can just be silly, but sometimes they totally nail it!

Here's what my tea bag told me this morning...
"The beauty of life is to experience yourself."

So TRUE! I hope you all get some time today to fully experience the gift that is YOU!

What are your favorite random-chance sayings that have come your way recently?

Wishing you all peace,
Fathom

Fathom, mine isn't as positive as yours but I've been thinking about "unintentional consequences" lately. Seems to explain some of my past actions and how they played out. Hope you enjoyed your tea. This morning mine was coffee, HOT and black. M

Hmm.... somebody on another thread just mentioned adding 'in bed' to the end of all fortune cookies, so I couldn't help but add an 'in bed' on the end of your tea bag saying.

Well, less than 5 minutes after wishing you all a great morning, I learned that my car battery had died. I got to spend some time re-acquainting myself with my mechanical side and mustering myself to ask for help from others. Now, I've had a different Sunday than I anticipated, but I got to visit with a good friend (who brought me a new battery!) and my car starts beautifully again thanks to my mechanical prowess. Not a bad day, really... But, I'm glad that tea I was drinking was an herbal "stress relief" blend. Ha!

Happy Sunday!

Maybe it's not always about trying to fix something that's broken.
Maybe it's about starting over and creating something that's even better.

--------------------

Today isn't just another day.
Today I'll create something beautiful.

--------------------

Be very careful about what you think.
Your thoughts run your life.

--------------------

Three simple rules in life:

1. If you do not go after what you want, you'll never have it.

2. If you do not ask, the answer will always be no.

3. If you do not step forward, you will always be in the same place.

--------------------

One day can change everything.

"Don't change your mind because people are offended; change your mind if you are wrong."(Criss Jami)

"If I had a nervous breakdown every time something awful happened in the world, I'd be crazier than a sh*thouse rat." (John Green)

"The willow knows what the storm does not: that the power to endure harm outlives the power to inflict it." (Blood of the Martyrs)

And quite possibly my favorite -- excuse the language, and I don't know the source:

"When life knocks you down, calmly get back up. Smile. And politely say: 'You hit like a b*tch."

On the other side of fear lies freedom.

I have a lot of personal slogans, but the saying that came my way recently was "Even the mighty oak was once a small acorn".

Tread lightly in the vicinity of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
Oh....Maybe a bit too much like what my life is at the moment...

From Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series.

Ignore your instincts at your own peril.

Attachment is not compassion.

Easy is the path to wisdom for those not blinded by themselves.

Greed and fear of loss are the roots that lead to the tree of evil.

Arrogance diminishes wisdom.

The first step to correcting a mistake is patience.

Sometimes, accepting help is harder than offering it.

Your friend,

I like the version of that that says "the mightiest oak was once just a nut that held its ground"...

Dandylion, I had that hanging in my office too

When I start getting judgmental or sunken in worry or anxiety about something. I remind myself "When I change the way I look at things, the things I look at change"
