One of the reasons I finally quit drinking was the depression. I got to some deep, dark places, and I knew something had to change. I figured one way to start was to try cutting out alcohol, and see if that helped.
Not only did that change things for the better as far as depression, it also took away huge anxiety problems that I didn't even know were being caused by alcohol! It's been the best decision for my mental and physical health. Today I am celebrating one year sober!
It's great that you are trying again, with a renewed spirit and hope. I can tell you that if you stick with it, it will be sooo worth it for your well being!
