Lol!! The "perks" don't apply to me, but being a single parent isn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. My biggest complaint is that I hate hearing other moms complain about their husbands all the time and I can't add to the conversation...nothing to complain about when he's only here for a few hours on the weekends.

Happy Single Parent Day!!

When I hear other moms complain about their kids' fathers I move an inch closer to getting over my XA. Apparently you don't have to be a drunk to question what a mom did all day when she was at home with her child(ren). Also, I hear complaints that when the dad is sick he complains and complains and expects the mom to care for him, but when the mom is sick the dad wants her to be as on top of things as she usually is. Who knew that even the sober ones can have entitlement issues?

Ah, yes, the "man cold" I have heard soooo many other moms complain about that. Truth he told, my husband was actually a pretty decent dad before he went completely off the rails. He even got up in the middle of the night to do diaper changes when our oldest was a baby and he did a lot of diaper changes when he was home, he did all of the fun goody dad stuff and he loved baby wearing, we used to actually bicker about who would push the stroller. He's been a remarkably crappy dad to our baby but he's been better these last two months.

Mine was really great too, but he flipped. I think he's still pretty good now, but he's always "supervised" by his dad (until I can get a court order for professionally supervised). He would still be going to dr. Appts. and all that if I wasn't NC. He just wouldn't remember what she says. : D
