help with sister

Hi, I have a sister, 35, who is heavily addicted to crack. She has lost her daughter and her job and car. We cannot seem to get through to her. She has no remorse for the things she has done. She is going to rehab to look good at her hearing. And she is staying with my other sister and her family until then. However, She wont play by any rules and she has no respect.

Please, If anyone knows how to help us talk to her or understand her, please, let me know.

ty,

So sorry to hear about your sister. It's hard to watch someone we love self-destruct.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do for her. She has to decide that she wants recovery. It doesn't sound like she's at that point.

We have a wonderful Family and Friends forum here. You will find a lot of understanding and support there. Here's a link...

Welcome to SR. Sorry you had to come here, but glad that you found us. We're here to support you. (((HUGS)))

Hang in there. You have to take care of yourself. She had to find her way back herself. Maybe the rehab will help, but again, that is up to her. Sending hugs.
