I miss my beer buzz!!!!

9 Days in and I can honestly say that I do miss my beer buzz!!! I miss it pretty bad too. Usually the witching hour starts around 4pm. I wish the feeling would go away. But I cant stop thinking about having a Big Ass Glass Of Ice Cold Beer!!!!!!
I'm not going to, but just wish the thought and the feeling would just go away!!!

Thursday can be a tough night for cravings for me too. Keep busy. I just exercised. That helps me because I do not want to undo it all with any wasted calories!

I used to wish my red wine haze and then I came to appreciate not having it all the time. Being aware of so much around me freaked me out initially but then I got used to it. Congrats on your 9 days...that is huge!!

Im trying!!
I was drinking for so long, 2 years straight without a day off, 12 to 18 beers a night, I think I just have gotten use to it. Usually around this time, I would be about 12 deep.
But it's just a feeling, it will pass and hopefully over time, I wont feel for it anymore.

It sounds a lot like me bud. 15 to 20 or more every day/night for 8,9, or 10 years I lost count. I wasn't joking about the milk though it works for me, it fills the belly fast

Thanks Aka, I am gonna try the milk. I have been drinking Gatorade and sprite out the ass lately. Just to try and fill that void, Sucks!

If you could have stopped at at 1 ice cold beer a night there might not have been a problem. Think it through that you would drink 12-18 and the trouble it caused you. I always visualize that I want to get plastered and not have one nice relaxing drink.

I keep asking myself, "do you really want to start all over again"? Do I really want to go through those first four days, feeling like s$$t? Is that one beer worth it, cause I know it won't be just one beer. I don't know what the future will bring, but for now, I am just not up to putting myself through that again. If you are really honest with yourself, as hard as it is, you know where that one beer will lead to. I hope you don't give in. It's just not worth it.

I hear you - 4:30 or 5 every night and the craving would kick in big time. There still there for me at 4 weeks now, but not nearly as strong. Early to bed helped me a lot. Keep up the good work, bud.

This is romanticizing the drink. I do this too. Just keep playing the tape to the end and you will remember why you quit.

I know for me, that nice one-beer beer buzz was like 20 years ago. I never stop after one and it goes downhill from there.

Ya build up a habit over numerous years, you can't expect to turn it off like a light. Pavlov made the dogs drool with the bell, you're gonna be the same thing when 4 PM rolls around for a few days. It'll get better if you keep trying to get better.

Stick to it, you're doing good.

Proud of you for not caving Hunter. We all understand how hard it is in the early days.
Bilr44 you're so right - it never was, and never will be 'one' for us.

It took time for your body to become accustomed to drinking on a daily basis, and it will take time for your body to become accustomed to NOT drinking on a daily basis. 9 days is an awesome start. Before long you will be jumping into bed and it will dawn on you that you didn't think of beer at all that day. Look forward to that moment because it is an AWESOME feeling.
