Greetings and thank you for having me

Good morning,
I found this forum this morning after a frustrating conversation with my 65yr mother about how to help my 47yr sister. My sister is an anorexic alcoholic and addict. She's just returned to our parents home after 13 days in the hospital, having fallen and broken her ribs, then started detoxing in the hospital and fell and severely re-injured herself.
She needs to live with somebody or someone to live with her and we don't know what to do. After years and years, a lifetime really, of trying to help her we're burnt out, feel manipulated and not convinced she wants to get better.
Huh, guess there was more on my mind than I thought...

Welcome to the family. Unfortunately there's not much you can do for her. She has to want recovery for herself. No one can "make" her want it. I hope you and your parents have some support for yourselves after spending a lifetime picking up the pieces after your sister.
