AV is nagging me big time.

Wow, out of nowhere. Nice evening here and the thought of a nice cool bottle of wine on the patio with my wife in the evening sun is almost overwhelming.
Given my better half my wallet and I'm going to take the dog for a walk straight away.

Hate the AV. When things are bad or good it will rear it's ugly head. Looks like you have a plan to not go where it wants you to go. And thanks for posting.

At least your dog appreciates it.

Good for you for telling it no and then getting a move on to change directions!

Thanks all. Back from the walk and took the opportunity to have serious words with the AV. He's cowering in the corner of his cage now.
You're right Nonsensical, the dog's very happy.
Strange that my first thought was to post on SR. Alternative addiction methinks.

Yeah thoughts can be like like, or I guess what you call your addictive voice. I view it as thoughts. My thoughts cant speak out loud, they just linger in my head and it is up to me to deal with it however I choose.

It just takes a little practice, toddle! The more I do it, the easier it gets.

It's only a thought with me too Matt, but it's a technique to disassociate the addictive thought and give it a "Beast Voice" persona who's only wish is to succumb to your addiction and cause you pain. It really has worked better than anything else I've tried.(And I've tried loads).
