Thumbs up 24 hours acohol and nicotine free

Just a quick update so you know I am still here and going strong. Nice night in front of the log fire watching The Hunger Games last night followed by restless and fit-full night dodging in and out of consciousness. So feeling pretty tired today and a wee bit tetchy. To be expected though.
Juicing today to start to replace nutrients stripped from my body by alcohol and nicotine and begin to lose some of the pounds put on by drinking red wine every night.
I have done a night off for the past couple of weeks so tonight is really important to break that cycle of just one night off. I feel very good about it though and it definitely helps to share my story and to read other's too!

The first of many nights sober I'm sure. the sleeping will get better. In fact, EVERYTHING will get better.
Keep at it, be strong and remember part of being strong is asking for help and sharing with others ie us!

Welcome to the forums! alcohol and cigs at the same time- I had to separate my quitting of those 2 by 5 years! I defiantly turned a corner on cigs 5 years ago after 30 years or so of smoking, and have no more desire to smoke, in fact I get nauseated being around it. Hoping for the same mental transition for drinking- not just hoping, working for it!

best of luck, keep in touch
