Something I'm really thankful for

I am so thankful for my cats. They give me pleasure and love. All four are always within arm's length and my lap is always occupied. They have given me a reason to focus during my tough times; a reason to get out of bed. Yep, I'll probably end up being the crazy cat lady /laughs but I'm okay with that.

Love to the furbabies!

Someone posted earlier somewhere on SR about research saying those with a companion or a pet will live longer than those living alone!!

I must get me a goldfish!!

When I first got sober I did it so I'd take better care of my dogs and cats. I still live for my critters but today I know I'm taking good care of them.

They give me their unconditional love and devotion and I am forever grateful for my furry kids.

I am shopping around for a dog now I have read lots of research about them making you feel better. I have had dogs I guess before my drinking came first so I didn't have time to go looking.

I'm glad you're comforted by those kitties Aarry. I'm sure they enjoy being of service.

Another reason why I love my cats. I'm having a tough day, been sitting here crying and one of my furbabies gets off the couch and starts playing with her toys. It's so funny to watch! She actually has me laughing now.

I could not agree more!

I've posted on here about my cats before. They have provided me with such a huge measure of comfort. My dog has as well -- but there is something about cats. Mine follow me from room to room. Whenever I sit down, they are by my side within 5 seconds. The purring and the snuggling -- all of it is so healing. I told a friend of mine the other day that when I walk into the room that my cats are in, they start purring the second they see me. It's like getting the sweetest little round of applause. And all of it just for being me. They love me, no judgment (unless I forget to give them their kibble, hahaha).

So I'm right there with you. Enjoy those kitties today. I'm on the couch with mine as I type this.

Exactly! I wonder why cats have such a bad reputation for being standoffish.

Ary, you can post pics, can't you?

According to the bottom of the page [ IMG ] Code is ON for me, so it should be for you too.

Okay, now I have to test...(this is not my dog, just testing)

Yay, okay, so in the header on the box where you type your post, there is a little icon of a mountain - click that.

In the popup you will see a spot for the URL of your pics.
