Little children of Alcoholics
My 5 year old girls first soccer game tomorrow, separated AH offered to take her because Im not a 100% physically recovered from all my cancer treatment. I do a lot but not 100% yet. This week has been a rough one...
I asked her "would you like Daddy to take you to your game tomorrow?". She said "I love Daddy but I want to be on time so I want you to take me."
She already knows she can't count on him. Moments like this make all the struggle worth it. If we were still together we would all be stressed out walking on eggshells, reactive, rushing out the door.
I am finding peace now. My household is calmer, more stable....happy. We are happy...and on time! Lol!!

I was six the first time someone asked why my mom didn't come watch me cheer at my peewee football games, and I responded, "She goes to the bar on Saturdays." Yep. They know more than you'll ever give them credit for.
