Welcome Pefe you can do this.... With help and support and doing it one day at a time. I find AA amazing. Being alcoholic I just could not do it on my own. You have taken a major step and I wish you well regaining your sobriety x

Welcome pefe and I can relate. I was sober for 7 years and picked up again. Now here I am 7 years drinking and trying to quit again. I made one day yesterday.

It's hard. Once the devil gets a hold of you again to shake it loose. I know.

But ... not impossible. If I did it before and you did it before, then both of us can do it again.

It is literally One Day At A Time. Just like before. Don't rush it, otherwise you will trip over your own feet (often my problem).

And don't believe that lying little voice telling you it's o.k. to drink. It s*cks. I know it and so you do.

So happy you are here.

We just had a long thread discussion about the need to treat relapse seriously. Your post just reiterated the primary theme of the thread, that you never know when you'll come back from that "little" slip.

Welcome to SR. Glad you made it back to recovery.
