Day 2
Well I made it through day 1. The hardest part was the night. The cold sweats, my mind not be able to turn off. I am not sure if I got any sleep but I was able to get to work and ready to take this day one hour at a time.

Thanks. As the day goes on it is getting a little harder. Have to keep pushing the thoughts down planning and alternate to my normal night. For some reason this afternoon feels harder that yesterday. UGH!

I have wondered if those first few days are hard, not just because of withdrawal, but due to our concern of how bad the withdrawal will be? I was uncomfortable, but some of it was because I kept worrying about how uncomfortable I would be. That is where I kept my focus. I don't have any words of wisdom on how not to think about it, though. Just something I have thought about as the days have past.
CMF76, stay glued this evening when it gets more difficult. This forum really helps get you past the worst of it. There is something about knowing you aren't the only one wanting a drink--but not taking it-- that helps. I read alot.
