Wisdom for the ages
From The Beautiful and Damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald, published in 1922.
Maybe we can't really appreciate wisdom like this until we've lived it, I don't know. But I'm certain my life would have taken a significantly different path if I had understood this about 25 years ago. Actions, not words, as we say around here, right? I hope I can teach this to my daughters before they choose their life partners.
