Unhappy Rough day :(

Ugh. Without getting into the boring details this has been the most mentally and emotionally trying day I've had in a long time. I'm a basket case. I gave no friggin clue how to deal with these emotions without drinking. No clue. Gonna white knuckle it and go to a meeting in a few hours if I can even make it. I know drinking won't solve anything but it's the only answer I really know and I'm struggling.

Learning to deal with emotions is like an other skill mrrryah - it takes a little time to get it right.

Every bad day you get through without leaning on booze makes the next bad day a little easier to bear, sober.
You'll soon find other healthier 'answers'

Lean on the support you have here - you'll be ok

hang in there. sobriety can be a bit of a crazy roller coaster of emotions especially the 1st few weeks. try to do something nice for yourself right now. maybe some tea and a snack. if you need some folks to talk to the chat room is always there. you can get through this and tomorrow you'll feel even stronger. *hugs

Hold on Mrrryah, that meeting will be here soon. In just a short time these tough days will be few and far between.

Stay DETERMINED and keep your chin up.

Love and light to you.

No matter how bad a day you had, alcohol will only make it worse.

Hi, Myrrryah, from a fellow Canuck.
Please just hang on, it does get better, even though it may seem like you're trying to wade through molasses at present.
Stick around here, it really does help, SR has been my life-line.

Sorry to hear you are struggling, don't pick up a drink,it isn't the answer.Nothing a drink can do apart from making things worse.

Early sobriety is difficult, unfortunately we have to get through it .

When you get to your bed sober tonight it will have been a good day.I am sure you will feel better after the meeting.
