Day 82... how'd that happen?
I kinda stopped counting a few weeks back but seeing as someone posted up they;d gone 90 days I was curious how many I'd gone, expecting something like 50 but its 82. Not bad. Though my birthdays in a few days so it concerns me slightly that I might drink to celebrate. I'm not planning to, but plans can change. But for now I'm quite impressed at having gone so long.

Quite common for people to drink near their sobriety birthdays. Happens more then you'd think. But you are sober today by not drinking. Hopefully by this time you are well into the steps, halfway through or more is normal progression for someone who really wants it. I pray that you have a sponsor. Maybe you dont, maybe it wasnt that bad, maybe you can do it on your own, maybe maybe maybe maybe maybe maybe maybe.
We work the steps to get better, to become recovered. I thought for the longest time meetings alone will keep me sober, well NEWSFLASH - MEETINGS DONT KEEP US SOBER. Working the steps keeps us sober.
