I need help!

Hey Sober Recovery i just made an account and happy to be here. Im 6 months sober and life is pretty great. My mom bought me these candys and i later realized it had alcohol in it.. it did not say the percentage. it also has pure vanilla extract which has (35 percent) hopefully its cooked out and all the alcohol is dentured ( however thats spelled) anybody have any feed back

Mistakes happen - you didn't eat them for the buzz - if it were me, I'd throw the rest out or give them away, and move on

Try not to stress about it. You didn't eat the candy hoping for alcohol......congratulations on your six months - great accomplishment

If it were me I would let it go. You did not drink and you did not try to get a buzz. Let it go. Just my advice and welcome to SR

I wouldnt worry about it, just be more careful in future if you want to avoid any alcohol ingestion.
To clarify- denatured alcohol is low-cost alcohol which is itself either toxic, or has chemical additives to make it toxic, definitely to be avoided!

Welcome! I doubt there was enough alcohol in the candy to have any effect. Are you sure it wasn't 'sugar alcohols' in the candy? Those aren't really intoxicants, just artificial sweeteners that don't elevate your blood sugar (diabetics often buy them).

At any rate, it sounds like you're off to a good start- keep it up! Good on you for thinking to read the labels, too.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome, this site is amazing!!!!. well i talked to my mom and shes pretty sure all the alcohol is cooked out.. anyway im not worried im still working hard in my program
