new and overdue
Hello.
I'm a new member and have been struggling with alcohol. I'm generally hesitant to join and participate in forums, but then fighting it by myself isn't
working. So, here I am.

Welcome to a chance of feeling good about yourself and life for a change. There is much support as well as good suggestions on this site so we don't have to be alone again in our own misery. The idea is to keep posting and doing a lot of reading here.
BE WELL
BE WELL
Thank you all for the warm welcome
Its been about 5 years since I've gone more than a few days without a drink. I look
forward to being in control again and am glad to have found such a supportive community. Will posting along the way.

There is comfort in numbers signit and know that u arent alone with that struggle.
I for have a hard time ignoring the voice in my hrad that says just a few or u deserve it or its the weekend and so on. It seems to me for some people its just part if the process.
All we can do is to keep fightng and try again and maybe this time will be the last time.
Good luck!

I'm the same way. But here I am, reaching out. Accepting my condition and not being afraid to extend outside my comfort zone. I lurked here under a different account a few times, but now I'm determined not to drink.

Welcome! I recommend joining the Class of February or Class of March if you aren't ready yet. Either way, you should try to figure out a plan of action on how you are going to quit.
Also, Listen to the old timers. They have tons of wisdom that is available to you for free.

The Class of February is a great gang - check 'em out
