Feeling accountable
You and I dont know each other in person. We have learned a little about each other thanks to this Forum. We all are on the same train trying to get to the same destination. We really never reach our destination due to the nature of our journey. We are always moving forward to sobriety. Some of us just got on the train, others have been riding it for decades. We share our stories, our pains, celebrate our milestones and our lives. I have shared more of my real feelings here than I have with my family. They know what I have gone through in the last 100 days, but you people truly understand.
I feel accountable to you. I certainly don't want to let myself or my family down by picking up again, but I very much dont want to be in a position to tell you that I slipped off the train and have to go back to Day 1. It is a strong incentive for me. Maybe not for everyone, but for me it is.
Thank you everyone that supports and encourages every single day. Thanks to everyone that shares their stories and reinforces that we are not alone in our struggles.
After 100 days it is getting easier for me. My memory is good so I will not forget days past. I try to remember to sign up for the 24 hour club. Some days I do not make it. Only because I was not thinking about drinking and that is a good thing. So my friend Deeker sends a posse to make sure I am okay. I am okay, today and tomorrow and for many tomorrows ahead.
Thank you all my SR friends.

Hi Rick... only on day 3 here, and I really wanted to have a drink today. Was I craving? Not really.. it's just SUCH A HABIT!!! However, since I posted on SR that I wasn't going to drink today I didn't.. It's great having that influence for sure.. Thanks for a great post.. Hopefully we will all be seeing 100 days before we know it!
