one week
I'm one week sober today Which I am very proud of and very thankful for....
At the same time, for the past day I've been planning a relapse for tomorrow night. I don't have to work on Tuesday and I feel like if I just drink one more time I will somehow feel better. Plus, if I can go a week, maybe I'm not actually an alcoholic anyways. Logically, I know this is BS. I know it is a bad idea. But my brain is so damn stubborn that once I plan something, it take divine intervention to stop it....so I guess that is what I need right now.

Maybe think of it this way, if you can ONLY go one week and then need to prove something, maybe there is more to this alcoholism thing than you think?
Alcoholism to me was that I couldn't life without drinking at some point.
To a non-alcoholic, it's a non-issue.

I almost made a week , but on the 7th day I messed that up.
I hope you find another way to make it thru the day that does not include alcohol!
We have to find power within ourselves and not allow the demon in alcohol take over our mind!

Distract yourself tomorrow night. Go to a yoga class--get out of the house and do something you like to do, whether it's seeing a movie, visiting with a friend, going to the library......fight the urge. The next day when you wake up you'll be so grateful that you didn't drink. Every time you say "no" to yourself you'll feel stronger.
