Hi there, every time iv given up drinking iv lost weight! loads! My story is a bit long and complex so I wont bore you to death, in a nutshell I was a binge drinker 4ever (started in college) and never admitted or dealt with it. Then 4 years ago I had some surgery and was started on opiate painkillers, stopped drinking and have spent the past 4-5 years basically addicted to those. Finally detoxed off them in October(ish) last year but started drinking everyday. I know replacing one addiction with another, b4 Xmas my weight ballooned from the booze, its now 4 weeks since I had a drink and iv lost 12lbs already, alcohol is full of calories.

You are taking in a load of empty calories when you drink. The bloating will go and you will look better
