my inch by inch
i never posted how i found this quote, originally. it wasn't from Al Pacino's "Any Given Sunday".
when Emma was at Mass General Hospital for a brain injury resulting from being hit by a car on the street in front of our house, we had this incredibly gifted and wonderful nurse, Sarah.
Every day when the doctor and team made their rounds, I stood in to find out what Em's daily progression was. It was informative and real.
HOWEVER, the nurse Sarah once told me the most pertinent information.
I had asked her how she does her job (ICU nurse) every day; watching people die or making it.
She told me, "Inch by inch, it's a cinch"
