that's a simple goal i set for myself. i'd like to come back here on Monday and let you know that i was sober and ready for a new week

That's great, Serious - go for it! Certainly better than waking up with an awful hangover and all that goes with it. You can do lots of fun stuff sober and it costs a lot less in many respects. Hope to hear from you on Monday. :-)

I'm looking forward to another sober weekend too. I know I will sleep well, wake up feeling great, and get stuff done. I'll relax in the evening after a great dinner, have a sweet treat (because I deserve it)' and get up to do it again. Enjoy your sober weekend Serious!

With you. :-) My husband just went out to get beer for himself. I am drinking tea. Had a great week, and feeling great. Plan on staying that way.

Me too.... Glad to hear it. I started to actually enjoy my weekends once I got sober. Prior to sobriety they were just a haze of drunkenness, anxiety and usually regret.

yes, jkb... for many years pretty much any weekend to me meant lots of drinking and eventually lots of getting sick. a nasty hangover was the norm.
