Here we go again . . .
I've been a stay at home Mom for the last 9 years. It got to the point between the time of picking my son up after school and preparing dinner I started going stir crazy (I had always worked). A new friend, Rodney Strong, quickly came to the rescue! After 2 years with my new friend, I decided to dump him. I did successfully for 18 months. We then moved to another state to an area where I didn't know anyone, and the wine was just as quick to help me out again. It's time to break up...again. It's now been 4 years, almost every day. Today is my day 3 sober. I'm really trying to remember how beautiful life was without, but today has been rather iffy. Thinking about it makes me shudder with distaste, but I know, as usual, after that first drink, I can finish the bottle no problem. But, I refuse to do it. Nice to meet you all.
I am also a SAHM who drank while the kids were at home. I also have a certain period of day that is really tough for me. I've been going to AA and that has been helping.
Stick around!
Stick around!
I, too, was a good friend of Rodney Strong. A rather devious, conniving man if I remember. He makes promises he doesn't keep, lets you down all the time, and leaves you feeling bad about yourself in the end. Come to think of it, he wasn't much of a friend at all. I'm glad he's not in my life anymore...
