another new sober person
I'm always referred to a new guy where I work because I just work 2 nights a week at a rehab and there's always new clients who come in during the week. So I always tell everyone that I'm a new guy after I state my name to the new clients. My name is Steve S. and I'm addicted to booze. I go to both NA and AA meetings to get some variety. If I can't make it to one, I'll go to the other. A lot of the people in both NA and AA in this county where I live (very rural) know me. I have a few 24 hours and I'm going on 8 years. I will still always go by the one day at a time philosophy and it doesn't matter how many chips I get. My sobriety is the most valued thing in my life and I humbly thank God for that-that it's his will and not my will. I will humbly close with that.
