Sober and Partying/Clubbing

Well basically I shall be moving back up to London at the end of the month. My friends no that I have become a tee-totallier, but i was just wondering how a sober person goes to parties and clubs with out the tongue loosener of alcohol. Do you enjoy it more? Is it strange being the only one who doesn't drink.

I haven't been in any social situations since I quit drinking out see.

Also quick sorry to the moderator for posting this twice, twas a accident .

Then hold off until you get a solid foundation of sobriety under you. If your friends know you've quit, then friends will agree to meet for sober activities.

Not sure I could go to a club and enjoy it now, I'd probably be more into checking out a few bands or live gigs instead, and nope it's not too strange as there are others at concerts not drinking either.

My general rule for social situations is to bail once everyone starts to get drunk, as things start to get a bit boring by then being Sober, but that would pretty much rule out clubs from the start!!

You gotta do what you gotta do though to protect your sobriety!!

Personally my sobriety required the lifestyle change to maintain it. I'm still in early recovery so putting myself in a booze fueled situation would certainly trigger me big time.

You will probably find that not everyone will be drinking.
I have a 40th Birthday party on Friday night. I will be driving, So got a get out clause. I also need to drive folk home at the end of the night. The best thing to do is either not go out if there is a danger of relapse, Or have a plan of action.

I tried it and found I last about an 15min after spending a few thousand on bottle service for the group I was with - expensive lesson to learn clubs are meant for people partying and I am not one anymore.

I don't think I could go. I don't think it would be any fun.
