New to speaking with fellow alcoholics!
Hello my names char and iv been sober for 8 months now, I have not really spoken to any other people in recovery in my journey and would like to meet people in my boat! As I have some questions and issues that none of my non-sober friends can relate to or fully understand.

I agree that those who don't have a problem with alcohol can't understand how it is for us. That's why I love it here. I was in terrible shape when I first joined years ago - but I felt instantly calmer and more hopeful when I found out I wasn't alone. I hope it'll help you to be here.

Thankyou for the welcomes! It's great to have the support- tonight at work I had ' she thinks she's better than us now, ' and in the same sentence ' I look up to you loads'. My job involves girls that drink a lot of alcohol - but It made me really angry that they thought that I think I'm better than them because I don't drink, it's hard enough as it is. And I don't want people 'looking up to me' either. It's difficult to fit in!!
