Dreams/Nightmares?
Dreams/Nightmares?
Really quick one here...
And Mods, if I'm placng this post wrong, I'm sorry! You can delete this line and move it for me. I won't be hurt.
On occasion, especialyl in the last 6 months or so, I've had these really terrible dreams. I'd dream my family or my girlfriend caught me or found my hiding places. Really disturbing.
Is that common? The more I read (and I've been reading a LOT here) I'm going to bet dollars to donuts that's common. . .

your dream is quite common this early in the recovery process, in my opinion.
alcohol disrupts the entire sleep cycle. be aware that your sleep habits might change.
staying stopped is so worth it!!!!!
Keep moving Forward!!!!! Stay strong, stay stopped!
I wish you well on your sober journey!

I'm a month sober and my dreams have been vivid and varied. I'm doing a recovery workbook that led me to grief work, and I'm dreaming a lot about old relationships, people I haven't seen or who died years ago. Yours sound anxiety related. Anxiety was huge for me in the first weeks, but that seems to be subsiding. I'm slaying my imaginary lions.
