Just to Catch up with Everyone.......

Well, today is the start of my third week of sobriety. Praise God.

I'm going to my third meeting tonight.

I'm also going to have surgery in two weeks on my knee. I'll have been one month sober and the doctor said it was a go. Still have things to work out on that note. Pondering.............. Had it not been for needing surgery, I would probably still be floundering. God works in mysterious ways sometimes. I look at it all as a blessing in disguise.

Still nervous but with God I go. Scared actually. I just hope I'm in good enough shape after only a month of sobriety.

Hoping all of you good folks are having a good day and if you're not, talk to God, talk to us, LOVE YOURSELF!

((Kris)) Congratulations on three weeks! Your SR friends will be with you every step of the way. Remember that when you go into surgery.

Sending you prayers and big hugs.

At the meeting tonight I found courage to speak up on steps1,2,3. Kinda combined but my thoughts were:

The most important and most simple thing to do yet not the easiest, is to just GET REAL WITH YOURSELF. It's taken me a long time. If you can't get real with yourself, then you CAN'T get real with God.

It was a B, OD, and a really inspiring one tonight. Hope your night can be inspiring for you, too.

ps Thanks for all the well wishes, prayers and big hugs.
