Dr.

Just found out I really have no choice but to stop drinking (and change my diet). I went for bloodwork and my triglycerides were over 500 and sugar was in the diabetic range. No wonder I've felt like dog crap lately (lately meaning a year or so). I'm not one to rush to the doctor obviously since it's taken me so long to go. My stomach has been so bloated lately and I had cut back to drinking once a week... which turned into twice a week sometimes. And of course I would drink about 8 tall 5-6% alcohol beers and 2-3 glasses of bourbon or tequila. My stomach is enormous but not fat. It's weird. So now I have to go for xrays. I worry that I have an enlarged liver. I FEEL like I have an enlarged liver or like somebody stuck a basketball inside my midriff. Glad I finally have an additional motivator and a strong one at that.

The best thing you can do now is to stop drinking and try to live a healthy lifestyle. I'm glad you went to the dr.

Good luck with all the tests.
Motivation can always help with an extra dimension.

I agree with Anna - our bodies are amazingly resilient in many cases...the best thing we can do is to stay sober and let them heal
