Happy Hour Last Night
Hi all. Well, about a week ago, a friend (who doesn't know I'm not drinking anymore) invited me to meet for happy hour last night at a nice restaurant/bar. I accepted the invitation but was kind of dreading it all week. I ended up going. When I got there, my friend ordered a nice glass of wine (my favorite)...I ordered...drum roll please.....cranberry juice with club soda and lime! 
After I ordered, my friend said "aren't you drinking tonight?" I simply replied "Alcohol doesn't seem to agree with me anymore". There were no questions asked and nothing else was said about it the rest of the night! We had a great visit, and it proved to me that I can go and socialize without having to drink! Being sober, I noticed a lot of things I wouldn't have noticed...including a lady at the bar giving her martini back to the bartender asking him to make it stronger...hmmmmmmm.

What good news waterscapes. It feels so good to rise above the need to drink and realize we can enjoy ourselves - we didn't need it after all. I love your response to your friend - good one!
