Forum Changes

Hi All,

I made some changes to the Forum Descriptions and added 2 new forums for friends and family. We have a new Secular Connections forum and a new 12-Step Support forum. The 12-Step Study forum is now a sub-forum in the 12-Step Support forum.

We have always used the 2 main Friends and Family forums as our general forums where all are welcome. We started out small and all that was needed at the time were the forums based on 12-step recovery. Things have changed over time and there was a need to adjust the forum descriptions.

Nothing really changes unless you want to post in the new forums that are specifically for 12-step and secular topics.

Thanks, MG

For a few days I felt homeless here with no family forum to post in, now there are at least two for me to choose from.

Just so I don't violate any new rules, do I have this correct?

1) No program of recovery or treatment is to be talked about here on this board.
2) if I want to mention 12-Step recovery I take it to the new 12-Step Forum.
3) if I want to mention any other type of recovery program including therapy then take it to the Secular forum.

This forum is open for anyone who uses any method or no method at all....to discuss, to ask questions, to receive support and to share experience.

The 12-step forum is for those who currently use or are interested in using 12-step F&F recovery methods to discuss, ask questions, receive support, and to share experience.

The secular forum is exactly as it is described for those who are uncomfortable with or do not believe in a Higher Power.

Sure!

Folks here can talk about whatever has worked for them, be it Al-anon, therapy, SMART, or pink grapefruit and bubble gum (OK, I made that last bit up).

This is a Friends and Family Forum for people whose lives have been affected by someone else's drug use, regardless of what form their recovery takes--even if it is only SR.
