Stuffed with junk food instead

Well, I guess it's better to eat junk food instead of beer binging. I planned on cooking dinner but just couldn't do it, I was too anxious. I've calmed down now. But instead of eating good, I had chips and chocolate! Oh well, I won't be hungover tomorrow at work! Also telling myself I still didn't consume as many calories as I would've with beer. Hangin in there.

It's pretty common...I think a little dietary leeway - for a little while - is ok

Hey, if it works, and you don't make a habit of it, it's fine. Several times I have suggested that when cravings hit, just eat a big bowl of ice cream. That always worked for me and it's not like you'd have to do it forever.

Good on ya for finding something that helped you not drink today! (((HUGS)))

Jillian, just make sure you "get that pizza out of the oven!"

(Bad inside joke, everyone.)

I actually like that Clemmy's sugar free ice cream. Well, it's not my favorite ice cream, lol. But I think it's delicious.

Heck yeah! I just had pancakes for dinner and then bought some Ben & Jerrys. I will worry about the pounds later but tomorrow I will wake up sober and proud! I am happy with my decision personally.

I ate tons of popcorn! Really craved the salt I guess, and the butter too.

I had like 10 chocolate chips cookies today and that's ok with me. Tomorrow I will eat some spinach to balance it out. Like Dee said, go easy on yourself, it's a-ok.

My thing is sugary cereal. I cannot get enough of it. On the nights and weekends I don't have my kids, I sometimes have it for all three meals. Like you, cooking dinner seems insurmountable. I just want to get my bowl of cereal, sit on the couch and watch tv. So, that's what I do.

Glad you're hangin' in there. If chips and chocolate (yum, sweet and salty) help, then good for you for finding something that does. Keep up the good work!

Jackie

My crutch is Hersey's Dark Chocolate. Slightly sweetened...Oh and the BIG bar. Lasts a little longer...just a little. And chocolate has something in it that soothes your nerves, calms you down and it works for me !

I ate an entire carton of ice cream last night, I think it was the 1/2 gallon size. Friendly's Butter Crunch. Yum!

I'm drinking diet Orange Crush soda today which is keeping my sugar cravings at bay

I'm going through the binge eating stage just now myself. Planning on trying the 5 and 2 fasting thing. Also need to exercise. Its amazing how we think of our health when we don't lift a drink.
