Hi
I'm new to the forum. I have been sober just over 9 months, and am grateful for that.
I have been drinking for as long as I can remember, save for a 12.5 year period during which I didn't drink, but also didn't attend AA. After that period, when my marriage began to unravel, I started drinking and could not stop.
After many consequences drove me to near homelessness, I was forced by circumstance to stop drinking again for 2 years. As soon as I could, I drank again but knowing I had to really stop for good, and to give AA EVERYTHING I HAD to make it work.
So I started my career over again from the very bottom, stopped drinking, and got to work. The past 9 months have been a roller coaster. I feel like I've had many personalities as the mood swings have come and gone. Now things have settled down, and I'm looking to the future, and trying to settle into the AA way of life, and to engage in healthy behavior, healthy eating, healthy relationships with others, etc.
Glad to be here!
Thank you for reading,
Cax
