The last straw
The other night I was watching Breaking Bad by myself as my husband was on his computer. I was drinking whisky and coke. I drank so much I blacked out, was sick, and had to rewatch 3 episodes of Breaking Bad a few days later. I was just watching a tv show and I drank myself sick. That was the last straw. There have been many straws (obviously, as the expression goes) but that one was the last. I didn't even know this forum existed until I googled "do I need to quit drinking?" Well the answer from this forum was "yes" and here I am.

I remember so many movies I rented & 'watched' only to not have a clue the next day. I was wide awake too when I was watching - scary and dangerous to not remember a thing. Glad you have found us and are reaching out for help. You can do it Danica.

I remember having to reread parts of my books, on multiple occasions, because I couldn't remember what I had read during the evening before. Love, love, love the clarity (and efficiency that accompanies sobriety!
