My time

My last night drinking is tonight and I need y'all help and support not by helping me stay quit, that is my burden, but to remind me what a piece of junk I am anymore everyday.

Been in tears today and feel like my life is crap and has been crap for 20 plus years as I contaminate it with incredible amounts of daily alcohol consumption.

Have a great family that supports me and I owe them the actually me. Tonight is my last night with alcohol. I swear.

That's a great goal! Congats man! Might want to go see your doctor first. I required a doctor on my last detox.

Bad Life happened Dee. But what is mind- blowing is I go to bed feeling drunk and bad and I wake up the next morning feeling even worse. But I grab a cold beer by 3:00pm the next day.

You can do this John. Just tell yourself for the first few days that no matter what, you won't reach for that drink in the afternoon. In a few days you'll be feeling so much better and it will get easier.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Day 1 and I woke early and had a hearty breakfast. I think I will be payng for my drinking last night as my muscles hurt and my energy is sapped but I deserve every bad bit that is coming my way. Plan is to drink lots of water and try and get my mind from racing.

you're not a piece of crap... "Slick" is a piece of crap.

"Slick" sits there murmuring to us how great it'll be to pick up that booze. He lies to us all day about how much fun we'll have or any of a number of lies and baloney rationale.

remember that it's not YOU who is a bad person... you're a good person and a shining soul who deserves to be free of that jerkwad.
