Day Two Sober

So, I'm on day 2 of alcohol detox. Day two sober as well I suppose.

Symptoms: I feel chronically hot, and cranky, and maybe depressed.

I'm glad I didn't drink tonight obviously, but I feel kind of down for some reason. No real reasons... I started my job today and didn't have any stress or anything like that at work.

It probably doesn't help that these pills are known to worsen depression. Thank goodness tomorrow is it for those pills.

very good point. The meds can be adding to the blues you are feeling.
Feeling down can hit some harder thn others. I got hit hard, but still pushing though.
As my inside voice says uugghh..my body is screaming wooohooo..
I hope day 3 feels great for you. Or at least better..

Great job Justin! It is very common for unfounded depression in the initial stages of sobriety. Chemical reactions in the brain, I just read something about it. Luckily, that goes away as your body rebalances itself. Hang in there!

Yeah I JUST read the package. Major side effect of it... Just my luck. Plus my psychiatrist has me on anti addiction pills which can cause some depression as well.

The anti addiction pills are not going to be a long term thing for me. At least not this many.
