7 year binge

Hey folks. My name is john. . Creeping up on my 28th bday. Just wanted to introduce myself before posting. I usually leark on forums but i think its time to talk about my problems. I dont want to drink anymore, and recently found this site. Not really an AA person, so i turned to the web instead. Thanks for havin me here. ☺

Sure. I graduated from a private high school, and once i got a taste of freedom, i completely lost control. I was addicted to heroin for 2 years. Went to jail for it twice. While i was cleaning myself up from that i started going out to the bars to be "normal" but unlike others, i cannot have one drink (whats the point of that right )im a very functioning drunk. I show up to work on time, bills are paid. Dogs are fed well. But in my mind and heart im a freaking trainwrek. I'm about to hit my 28th birthday. Ive got 2 duis, and last year was charged with a felony for hitting a cop when i was drunk. My parents own a popular bar in the town i live in so that doesnt really help either. Sorry, this post is all over the place, reflecting the week ive had. Thanks for the support everybody!
