I have been just looking at other posts the last few days. They have helped very much!! My last drink was Friday night into Saturday morning of course.
The first two days were unreal, sweating, insomnia, dreams(nightmares)
Been a long time since going this long without a drink.
Beer is, was my drink of choice . I am 43 two kids a wife and just had enough, I had enough beer over the years for three people, yet alone one. Day by day it is getting a little better. This forum has really helped me and I look foward to a sober life.

Great job on your 6 days Dan! That is wonderful. Glad you are through the worst of your withdrawal - and you never have to go back there again.

I fought so hard to try and control my drinking. I was determined not to give it up all together. I look back now & can't believe it was ever that important to me. Life is so much calmer, happier, and sane without it. Be proud of yourself for making this big decision.
