New around here.. Just saying Hi.

Hi folks I'm chuck. I'm newly sober from alcohol, again.. Trying my hand at sobriety....again! Hopefully this time I sticks. I'll save the sob story. I was sober 7 years and decided it was ok to drink again.. That 18 months ago. I'm 4 days off the booze.

Lol, Hey IslandChuck. Looks like you and I are in the same boat. I almost had three years sober, then started up again 9 months ago. Today is my first day sober.

Both your posts helped me today. I was just thinking how easy it would be to drink today. This with three years sober.
It' like before there was man, alcohol was waiting. And it still is.

Anyway, best to you both. You've had sober time behind you, which is great, and I hope you stick around here.

Hi Chuck...been there, done that...8 years, then 3 ...then 4 of sobriety. Drank for the last 3 years...sober since October 2013 this time...you can do it! Welcome!

Hey IslandChuck - so glad you found us. You'll have plenty of support and encouragement here.

I had a similar situation - was sober 3 yrs. & thought I'd have a nice, civilized glass of wine. I guess I forgot it was never 'a glass' of wine - always the whole bottle. Then another bottle. 7 years later I came stumbling in here and never left. You can do it!

Thanks Hevyn, that stories all too familiar. I believe I can do it this time, I've never had any support structure before so I betting you folks will be a good way of helping me stay sober.
