Angry at myself

So, I've gone to 2 AA meetings and gotten something out of both. Had one day with no wine and then today I had 2 glasses of wine. I am really disappointed in myself.

Two glasses is better than two bottles. Be glad you stopped there and jumped back into your recovery!

It takes time to change a lifetime - keep thinking about what your doing for recovbery and what you can add next time

why not get some peoples numbers to call from AA, or post here before you drink next time?

Going to two AA meetings is not going to get you sober. Unfortunately, it takes a lot more than that. AA is a program of recovery, I don't think AA "lite" works for many people.

If you've gotten something out of both meetings that's great. If you are serious about AA you need to attend a lot of meetings, get a sponsor and work the program.

Thanks all. And, Zebra, I agree. Unfortunately I live in a very remote mountainous area and we only have 2 meetings a week.

There are online meetings and other online resources. I think there are even phone meetings. I know Overeaters Anonymous has phone meetings that anyone can dial into so maybe AA does too. You could call the AA number in your area and ask what else might be available other than the 2 public meetings.

And congrats for stepping up and helping yourself. SR is a great resource and there is so much care and support here. You're in the right place.

Don't beat yourself up too hard. Glad you're posting and you can pick yourself back up and try again tomorrow. Maybe another meeting tomorrow?
