With sobriety anything is possible
My sponsor told me this tonight as I was talking about wanting to see the west coast. It is true I believe. I've often heard it said with God all things are possible. I believe that as well. When I was in active addiction I never could see the chains I placed on myself. I blamed other people and the circumstances I chose to rest in. I never considered the fact that my life revolved around drinking and I could not move forward because of my own bondage. I feel like I can do anything today. Because of sobriety and trust in my higher power I can choose to be free. To everyone new here struggling, it all starts with not picking up that next drink or drug. I wish everyone here a happy 2014!

I'm realizing that anything is possible as long as I stay SOBER. I'm excited for this year because I have goals that I want to accomplish and I'm already taking steps to make sure I can accomplish them. So, I'm rolling over some of my resolutions from last year when I was drinking so I can work on them this year. Here's to 2014!
