have a better life in 2014. I will not allow you (separated AH) to control my thoughts anymore. I am making a committment to my own recovery and will not allow you to distract me anymore.
As much as I still love you and grieve you, I will not lose focus on what I need to do for my own mental and emotional health. I need to choose myself and the children before I ever think of what you need.
I will make the best of this second chance at life God has given to me. I will appreciate each day I have of happiness and laughter with my children. It may not be the family I envisioned, but I love this little family of mine more than anything.
I will set boundaries and stick to them. I will show my daughter by example what not to accept from a man.
I will have a better year in 2014 and I will do so because I am taking control of my life back.
