Rehab facility
I'm looking at going to The Treatment Center in Lake Worth, FL. They accept my insurance, they are talking to me every day, and their site looks good.
Problem is, I cannot find any independent reviews. And the only ones I could find are 3 bad ones. And I'm scared to pack up and head to Florida for several days just to be let down and misguided.
Does anyone know about this place?
Is there a list somewhere of reputable ones?
EDIT: my substance abuse problem is strictly alcohol.

Maybe someone else has been there or has some info for you, but I'd be inclined to trust my gut rather than internet reviews - you said it sounds good and they're talking to you everyday - that sounds encouraging to me.
I removed the site link tho, in accordance with our policies on advertising.

I'm definitely not advertising. But please keep the name up at least so if anyone else has experiences they can tell me.
My gut changes daily. But I really just want to hear some success stories from real people and not from reviews that may not be real.

That's what I thought and that's why I'm worried. They are like, we'll buy your plane ticket, we won't charge you anything after you leave, your insurance is enough." And I would rather go somewhere about actually helping than receiving my insurance money. However, I've never been there so I can't really judge. But, those reviews don't help the situation, either.
I need a facility because I need an extended period time of away from everything that goes on where I am so I can concentrate on sobriety. I live with an alcoholic who cannot even form sentences at night.

In order to stick by our no commercial sites rule, if we could stick to personal first or even second hand experience that would be great.
Anything else - any reviews etc - please PM the OP.

I don't know where you are at but I went to Lakeside-Milam in Washington state. The program is based on the book Under The Influence which was co-written by Doctor Milam. It was 10K for 30 days and took my insurance. I enjoyed my time and learned a lot. However the real work begins when you get out.... Good luck.
There is also the Salvation Army - they offer rehab programmes too, for free or low cost. It's pretty 'no frills' and they last for 6 months, but it's another option.

My advice is to take the database link I sent you by pm (reposted below) and look at all the local options.

I do not know about this place because I'm not in Florida, but do you have a doctor you can talk to about recommendations? I asked my Psychologist for some recommendations based on what I was looking for in a treatment center and they have me a couple choices based on their experience and success rates. Just an idea...
